Straight people don’t get how easy it is for them.
They never have to worry about whether the other person is ready to be kissed in public.
They don’t have to worry about a family member looking at them disgusted.
They don’t have to deal with the kids in the family not needing to know, because “ it’s too complicated to understand”
They don’t have to come out to every single person they meet.
They don’t have to worry about loosing friends by turning them down.
They don’t have to worry about losing friends of the same sex because of ignorance.
They don’t have to grow up watching literally every show, every couple in their lives be different than their true love.
When will people get that it isn’t about politics.
It’s about the everyday comfort being stripped bare from us.
I’m just a hopeless romantic, born into world that isn’t easy on my love.
So wait, am I wrong?? Did straight people never have straight couples to look at as role models?? Do parents kick their kids out for just being straight (like sorry son I really wanted a gay boy)?? Did straight people spend years pretending to be gay because they were afraid?? Did straight people spend hours online researching whether it all “really is a phase” and hoping they’d grow outa it.
No. They didn’t.
Yes WE ARE ALL HUMAN BEINGS, so that means we have a shitload of problems individually, but straight people do not go through the same kind of fear and uncomfortableness that every person in the lgbtqa personally feels.
Funny how a straight person felt uncomfortable for like 12 seconds and tried to hijack that post
